Two or Three Years...
Once students complete their three year Junior Cycle programme at Calasanctius College they have a variety of options to choose from for Senior Cycle. Firstly they must decide whether they wish to pursue a two or three year Senior Cycle.
- The 3 year cycle is made up of our optional Transition Year (TY) programme followed by either the Leaving Certificate (LC) Established or the Senior Cycle Life, Community & Work programme (LCW). Information on our TY progamme can be found here.
- The 2 year cycle consists of either the Leaving Certificate Established or the Senior Cycle Life, Community & Work programme (LCW).
Two Years...
Those who opt for the two year programme then must decide which one might suit them best.
- Leaving Certificate Established (LC) - traditional Leaving Certificate programme based on subjects available below.
- Senior Cycle Life, Community & Work programme (LCW) - traditional Leaving Certificate programme which includes the LCW programme. Information on our LCW can be found here.
Senior Cycle Curriculum
Depending on the Leaving Certificate programme chosen, students in Calasanctius College take either seven or eight subjects for state certification at Senior Cycle. In addition, as part of the broad and holistic educational experience we provide students will also engage in a number of other subjects.
